A family farm. A living connection to nature.Saint-Eustache, Québec

OUR VISION

Growing the farm.
And all it can share.

A family farm where beekeeping, crops, biodiversity and research can meet. We are moving forward gradually, with a wish to grow, understand and share more.

ONE PLACE, THREE SHARED INTENTIONS

Grow

Develop the farm, pollinator garden and crops, with bees as the common thread.

Understand

Connect with research to ask better questions and learn from the land.

Share

Make this world accessible through workshops, experiences and projects that spark curiosity.

01 / A PRIORITY FOR GOAL

Building connections
with research.

We want to begin conversations now that could lead to scientific collaborations as early as 2027. We hope to connect with researchers, educational institutions and relevant organizations to understand where our beekeeping practice and land could be useful.

Our interest is practical: observing bees and their environment, improving colony monitoring and contributing to well-defined projects at a scale that fits the farm.

  • Colony monitoring

Explore observations that help describe how colonies change through the seasons.

  • The bees’ environment

Look at connections between the apiary, crops and conditions on the land.

  • Nectar- and pollen-producing plants

Discuss floral resources and how the pollinator garden might fit into an observation project.

  • Field observations

Prepare realistic projects defined together with researchers and relevant organizations.

  • Beekeeping data

Consider how to collect and organize data that can support colony monitoring.

From the land to knowledge

We are also interested in how data can support better colony monitoring and help with observation or research projects.

COLLABORATIONS TO BUILD TOGETHER

The first step is to meet and define a question, a method and shared expectations. That is the conversation we want to begin.

02 / FUTURE CROPS

The land has
more stories to tell.

Projects to prepare and establish,
at the pace of the land.

Asparagus

We plan to begin establishing an asparagus crop in 2027. As a perennial crop, it calls for careful preparation and time to become established.

The project is in preparation. No harvest is currently being offered for sale.

Berries & small fruits

We plan to begin a berry and small-fruit growing project in 2027. Crop and variety choices will take shape as the land is prepared.

A project to develop gradually. Production and availability are still ahead.

THE POLLINATOR GARDEN · IN DEVELOPMENT

A garden connecting
bees, plants and people.

The pollinator garden is being developed gradually to support pollinators and enrich discovery activities. Alongside the orchard, future crops and insect hotels in preparation, it is part of the diversity we want to nurture on the farm.

03 / SHARING KNOWLEDGE AND BUILDING CONNECTIONS

Learning together.
Sharing a living world.

We want discovery to be a natural part of the farm: mobile workshops, guided apiary experiences and projects adapted to schools, daycares, long-term care homes, businesses and groups.

Hosting hives, raising awareness with a team or planning an activity: we also welcome organizations and individuals who want to develop a beekeeping project with us.

A LONGER-TERM PERSPECTIVE

Soleil-Eau-Énergie

In the longer term, GOAL Agriculture is also exploring possible connections between crops, water management and solar energy through a reflection called Soleil-Eau-Énergie. It remains an idea to explore, separate from the farm’s current activities.
